LifeWave, Inc. is a privately held, medical device company that has developed a non-invasive, sensing technology for both baby and fetal monitoring in remote settings. LifeWave’s product technology is based on non-Doppler radio frequency (RF) sensing. The product technology will substantially improve medical diagnosis and monitoring, reduce health care costs, and improve health care capacity.
LifeWave has developed its technology with funding from the NIH, the U.S. Army, the Office of Naval Research, in collaboration with several university medical centers. LifeWave has performed initial animal and human clinical tests and has demonstrated the ability to accurately measure a number of critical cardiopulmonary parameters, including respiration, heart rate & other cardiac functions.
The LifeWave sensor is small, wireless, battery-powered, non-invasive, and is able to operate through clothing. The sensor either operates standalone or wirelessly coupled to smartphones, home health gateways, and web applications that facilitate improved physician-patient interaction.
