Dr. Bushberg received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Radiological Physics/Health Physics from Purdue University and has served as a consultant in Nuclear Medicine, Health Physics, and Radiation Biology to numerous national and state organizations. Dr. Bushberg was appointed as a member of the main scientific council of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement (NCRP) as well as its Scientific Advisory Committee on Radiation Protection in Medicine.
Dr. Bushberg is a diplomate of the American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Medical Physics. He holds national board certification in several fields related to medical physics and radiation protection and is also is an expert on the biological effects and safety of non-ionizing radiation.

Dr. Druzin also serves as the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program and is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Stanford School of Medicine. He is the Chief of the Section of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Co-Director of the Johnson Center for Pregnancy and Newborn Services at Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
Dr. Druzin completed a six-year combined premedical and medical school training program at the University of Witwaterstrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, a rotating internship at St. Luke’s Hospital, Denver, Colorado and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Medical Center Affiliated Hospitals. His fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine was completed at the University of Southern California Medical Center, Women’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He was Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cornell University Medical College before moving to Stanford in 1991. Dr. Druzin’s major areas of interest are in clinical investigation of autoimmune disorders in pregnancy, recurrent pregnancy loss, medical complications of pregnancy and fetal assessment, and innovative methods of education in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has authored more than 100 publications.

Dr. Garite's past positions have included: President of the Society of Perinatal Obstetricians, and a member of the Society of Gynecologic Investigation, the American Gynecologic and Obstetric Society, President of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, Director of the Fellowship Affairs Committee, and two six year terms on the Board of Directors for the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Garite's research interests have focused on clinical problems in obstetrics, particularly intrapartum fetal monitoring and in premature delivery associated with premature rupture of membranes and the infectious etiology of prematurity. Dr. Garite's published work includes more than 180 journal articles and five textbooks.
Dr. Garite's remains active in clinical research, primarily through coordinating multi-center trials with the Obstetrix Medical Group. Current research interests include intrapartum and antepartum fetal assessment through fetal heart rate monitoring and pulse oximetry, general prematurity, premature rupture of membranes and the infectious etiology of prematurity, and the management of labor.

Dr. Gilbert received his undergraduate degree from Westminster College with a BA in Mathematics and Chemistry. He received his medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University in Washington DC.
Dr. Gilbert completed a Dreyfus Foundation Fellowship at Kings’ College Hospital in London, England from 1986-1987 and completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego from 1987-1989. In 1996 and 2004 Dr. Gilbert received the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award for Medical Student Teaching, and in 1995 and 2003 he received the CREOG Faculty Teaching Award for Outstanding Resident Teaching. Dr. Gilbert is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and books.

Ms. Miller is a certified nurse midwife with more than 30 years of clinical experience in a wide variety of settings. Ms. Miller served as an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School. She also holds a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School.
Given her legal and medical training, Ms. Miller has a unique understanding of the impact of law on medicine and nursing. Ms. Miller is committed to improving the quality of perinatal health care and lectures internationally on a variety of obstetric, women’s health, and risk management topics, with a current focus on the effects of cognitive bias during health care decision-making. She also is published in the areas of EFM, obstetrics, and patient safety. Ms. Miller is on the editorial board of the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing, and provides peer review for the Journal of Midwifery and Women’s Health. She is the co-author of Fetal Monitoring: A Multidisciplinary Approach (6th edition, Mosby 2009).
Ms. Miller is an active member of the Association of Woman’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM), and serves on the ACNM’s Quality Management board. Ms. Miller also provides consultation and education services to hospitals, individual providers, and professional organizations, where her concentration is on multi-disciplinary education and collaboration. She spends the majority of her time teaching the new standardized approach to fetal monitoring interpretation & management, based on the NICHD nomenclature.
